NOMADS STUDIO

The concept for this flat was to make the space feel both open and breathable while still rich and intimate. Lounge walls are inspired by the finishes of architecture in Morocco. I was inspired by the soft pinks of the city, and this comes through in the accessorising of the flat. There is no outdoor space, so it was important to keep the lounge room bright and open. The space has floor-to-ceiling windows, which do let a lot of light in, but it's south-facing, so the walls are layered with matte and satin paint.

In the bedroom and hallway, the walls are painted with a rich matte grey-blue finish. This is similar to the kitchen colour, so all three spaces talk to each other. The flat is layered with loved items collected from truffles and prints of favourite artworks.
