Create an Adidas activation space in the largest JD store in the world that would engage Gen Z females aged 16-25. The brand we’re looking to create an unmissable event with energy and hype, a moment not to be missed. All about exclusivity, aesthetics, and experiences. The pop-up needed to feel like an event, not just a store opening.
The response had to feel local and full of energy. After working through multiple activation ideas, we landed on the Originals Market. I designed and built a pop-up space inspired by stalls, but that felt sleek and cool. Whichever way customers approached the pop-up, they would be able to see something happening and interact with the pop-up.


The opening generated a huge amount of buzz, content and extra-long queues to get in. An ever-changing space that sets the stage for partners to create and engage with guests on opening day. Local artists were giving away bespoke artwork and customising trainers. The focus of the space was to showcase the product, so I introduced in-built rails which felt minimal and part of the structure.
Shelves were all constructed from the satin steel finish. Guests who bought shoes could have them customised with charms. I created a space for guests to engage with a different activity at each point of the pop-up.
